FRANCE AVENUE SOUTH - MINNEAPOLIS,
MN
This 40,000 SF mixed-use building extends
the upscale shopping district of 50th & France from Edina across the
street into Minneapolis. The building reflects the neighborhood's
character by presenting a complimentary street facade of varying volumes
and roof configurations. Projecting bays provide variation,
natural light, and views of the surrounding retail district. Amenities
include underground parking, above average tenant ceiling heights, and
oversized windows that flood the space with natural light. |

NICOLLET MALL - MINNEAPOLIS, MN
This building was designed in such a
manner that there are only two freestanding columns on each floor,
allowing maximum space planning options for the tenants. The
landscaped plaza, consisting of a fountain and reflecting pools, was
designed to be an extension of Nicollet Mall. The L-shaped
footprint of the building respectfully defers to the historic
Westminster Presbyterian Church next door by preserving an
unobstructed view of its south elevation.

DAYTON'S
- MAPLEWOOD
The 225,000 square foot, two-level department store
anchors a medium-sized shopping mall in a suburb of St. Paul,
MN. The design features a series of architectural precast
pilasters and moldings. Large niches containing lighting flank
the exterior entries, adding to the perceived depth of the elevation
and enhancing the nighttime appearance of the building. |

INVESTORS
SAVINGS BANK - WAYZATA, MN
This building was built as the main headquarters
of Investors Savings Bank. The design is a romantic response to the
village character of Wayzata, and has received enthusiastic support from
the towns design review committee. Although its three stories and
basement incorporate a total of 50,000 SF, the scale of the building was
kept modest by expressing the third floor as an attic.

DAYTON'S
- SOUTHDALE
Dayton's 370,000 SF, four level Southdale store
offers a unique shopping experience in both service and ambiance.
The store was designed from the inside out based on consumer research and
an increased awareness of customer convenience. A domed forty foot
diameter opening in the center of the store accommodates escalators and an
elevator. |
