Hennepin County Jury Assembly and Law Library

Library and Research Spaces at the Hennepin County Government Center in Minneapolis

The Hennepin County Law Library serves as a resource to attorneys and other court personnel. It provides study space, consultation space and library staff support for research and reference.  The Law Library currently occupies 13,800 USF on floor C-24. Part of the Law Library’s Strategic Plan is to reimagine the space. Patron use has evolved and requires less physical space and fewer printed resources. The new Jury Assembly/Scheduling Unit occupies 6,400 USF on the north half of C-24, with a capacity of up to 228 potential jurors. The Law Library occupies 4,700 USF at the south end. The two programs are sharing approximately 700 USF and the remaining 2,000 USF are shared by all users along the atrium windows. the project was completed at the end of 2016.
