Hennepin County Southdale Service Center

New Accessible Service Center and Master Plan

BTR has extensive experience in providing architectural services for various service center projects for Hennepin County. In this project, BTR developed the design for a new Services Center located on the first floor of Southdale Center. Prior to this project, BTR completed a master plan highlighting the future of the nearby Southdale Regional Services Center (library, courts, and service center). The culmination of the study suggested a relocation of the service center to a modern and more accessible location. Benfitting from a new, centralized location, the design of the service center focused on providing an efficient design for public and administrative uses along with a selection of strong architectural finishes. The completed design includes 18 service stations, an enhanced waiting area with modernized furniture, and an improved office suite.
